The Pixel Project
Manifesto
Every meaningful movement begins with a clear direction. Ours starts simply: in classrooms, helping students discover new possibilities through technology and digital education. Yet, our commitment extends far beyond those walls.
By thoughtfully integrating education, digital content, volunteer engagement, and open-source innovation, we have built a model designed for sustainable, lasting impact. This is our blueprint for a future where every student in Nepal can learn, create, and succeed, regardless of geography or circumstance.
“Before there is a masterpiece, there is a pixel.”
A single pixel may go unnoticed, yet it holds profound purpose. Together, pixel by pixel, they tell stories, spark ideas, and shape how we see the world. Our vision is built on this exact philosophy. While our daily impact is measured quietly—one student, one volunteer, and one school at a time—our ambition is to lay the foundation for a nationwide movement that empowers Nepal's youth in a digital world.
Our Core Pillars
Teach
Through the dedication of passionate volunteers, we offer hands-on workshops, mentorship, and practical learning experiences designed to build true digital confidence and inspire lifelong curiosity.
Reach
We believe opportunity should never be bound by geography. We bring digital literacy directly into schools and communities, ensuring students across Nepal have access to meaningful education.
Build
Our Open Source Foundation develops the tools, platforms, and digital infrastructure necessary to empower educators and students long after a workshop concludes.
Create
Exceptional education requires exceptional resources. We design engaging curricula, visual content, translations, and learning materials that make technology universally accessible and scalable.
Vision for the Year Ahead
Teach
Expanding our educational outreach to at least 20 districts across Nepal, welcoming a cohort of 5,000 students through practical digital literacy programs and mentorship.
Reach
Establishing a community technology hub in a rural Nepali school, complete with essential computer infrastructure, while funding five students to pursue innovation programs and competitive opportunities.
Build
Designing and deploying open-source technologies that address real-world problems for the Nepali community, creating tools that are actively adopted by schools, educators, and nonprofits.
Create
Launching Nepal's first comprehensive, Khan Academy-inspired digital learning platform, featuring over 50 hours of structured, Nepali-friendly video courses that remain freely accessible to every student.
